How to read these numbers
Worked example for the XD SV Crew Cab 6.5 ft 4x4 with the 5.6L Endurance V8, 400 hp: a trailer at its full 10,900 lb rating puts about 1,310 lb on the hitch at 12 percent tongue weight. Add two adults at 350 lb and 1,660 lb of its 2,260 lb payload is used, leaving 600 lb for cargo and gear.

Frequently asked questions
How much can a 2024 Nissan Titan tow?
Up to 9,290 lb when properly equipped. The lowest-rated configuration listed (Platinum Reserve, Crew Cab, 5.6L Endurance V8, 400 hp, 4x4) is rated at 9,050 lb, and the highest (XD SV, Crew Cab, 5.6L Endurance V8, 400 hp, 4x4) at 10,900 lb.
What is the payload capacity of a 2024 Nissan Titan?
Maximum payload is 1,710 lb. Payload includes passengers, cargo and the trailer's tongue weight, so it is usually the limit you reach first. GVWR for this model year runs 7,100 to 7,300 lb across configurations.
Does the 2024 Nissan Titan need a tow package to reach its maximum rating?
The 9,290 lb maximum is the SV Crew Cab 4x2 with the SV Tow Package (receiver hitch, trailer brake controller, tow mirrors, 4-pin and 7-pin harness); Titan XD rows below reach 10,900 lb conventional and 11,050 lb with the integrated gooseneck hitch. Configurations without the package carry a lower rating; see the note column in the table above.
Can a 2024 Nissan Titan tow a travel trailer?
A configuration rated at 9,290 lb can handle a trailer with a loaded weight of roughly 7,400 lb while keeping a 20% safety margin, provided passengers, cargo and tongue weight stay within the 1,710 lb payload. Run your exact numbers in the towing calculator.
